Apple has released an update to its mobile device operating system iOS 5.1.1. This release has many bug fixes including many security related ones. The iOS 5.1.1 addresses the following:
- Bug related to the issue with switching between 2G and 3G networks on the new iPad.
- AirPlay video playback issue
- Security issue related to Apple Safari browser
- Improved reliability for syncing Safari bookmarks and Reading List
- Fix for “Unable to purchase” alert displayed after a successful purchase
- An enhancement to camera boosting use of the high dynamic range (HDR)
- Option for photos taken using the Lock Screen shortcut
- and many more.
The iOS 5.1.1 is available for download via iTunes and also over-the-air. This release works with 3rd generation iPod Touch, 4th generation iPod touch, iPhone
